  MY DAD MIGHT DIE DUE TO THE 'NO BLOOD' DOCTRINE

  i don't have much time to post as i'm headed back to the hospital, but my father collapsed this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital.

  in a nutshell: he needs a blood transfusion as his hemoglobin is dropping (bleeding internally), but thanks to this fucking cult, that's not an option...........he'll accept the fractions but those bastards from the blood liaison committee have already shown up to ensure he doesn't cave............... for those of you who still believe, i'm asking you to say a prayer for my dad........and if anyone from crooklyn is reading this: you better hope my father doesn't die due to your fucked up rules, .

  My nana passed away tonight.

  i receieved an sms of my mum saying nan was slipping away i literally called as soon as i got the msg, and she had already passed away.

  things were looking up for a bit, we were managing to get some water and food into her and she had accepted to have a tube put in her, they tried last night but it was unsuccessful.. when i saw her on saturday it was the most alert she was, sunday she had very laboured breathing and tonight when my mum go into the hosp, my nan was no responsive, it was like she just waited for my mum to come in and then she passed away.. im in shock, even tho i knew it was coming it was looking hopeful for a bit there.. thanks for your support.

  i recently posted a topic on loosing it with my father, so some of you would know my nan isnt doing well.

  they finally got rid of the infection on monday we were all relieved.

  Hi es: so sorry to hear about your nana. I was close to my oma. The last time I saw her was when I was 8 when we left for Canada. She passed away when I was 12 and I still miss her. Like bluebell, I still can get teary eyed when I think of her. Take care and hugs.

  An added thought. If the reason for disfellowshipping and shunning is to keep the organization clean then I think they are doing a poor job. Actually if the org or church was only for those who were without sin then the kingdom halls and the churches would be empty.

  If I'm adding fuel to the fire then I apologize. Hopefully were not adding more stress to your situation.

  I'm so sorry to hear this. As everyone has already said, this must be really hard on your wife especially.

  This brings up some bad memories for me when I was pregnant. I have never been a witness but because of my parents being witnesses the relationship was very strained. I remember when I was pregnant with my son my mother telling me about the end coming soon. This was supposed to be a joyful time for us as mother and daughter. I had complications after the birth but my mother still left a couple days later. My mother-in-law had to come and take care of me and the baby. When I was pregnant with my daughter my parents came to visit and left the day before she was born. They were living in Texas at the time.

  I can totally understand your feeling. The relationship with my mother is better now. When she is having problems she will call me. I'm the only one she has to confide in. She obviously can't talk to her "sisters" about her problems with her new elder husband whom everyone adores. So my question also is, why do you want to go back to an organization that treats you like this? Wouldn't it be better to focus on your own family without the stress of adding this toxic family relationship?

  As a christian I don't believe that God approves of us ignoring and witholding love from family members. He gives us choices to believe and worship Him. He doesn't force us, Jesus never forced us, so we shouldn't force anyone. Do you think that if someone willfully does something wrong that this tactic of shunning would straighten them out anyway? If someone is remorseful for something they did they only need to go to God for forgiveness. The GB, like the Pope, aren't mediators between God and us.

  Maybe it's best to back off from trying to have any relationship and try to keep things calm for your wife at least till the baby comes.

  can't explain this one.. right in the middle of my shift i became disassociative.. my brain locked and i threw my hands up and kept repeating, "i can't do this!

  Hi Terry, sorry to hear you're going through a difficult time. Sounds like burn-out to me. This happened to me many years ago. I was in a very stressful job and I remember one time falling over in the middle of the street from exhaustion. I took the day off. I'll never forget what my manager told me. "Take all the time you need as long as you get the job done". In time I realized that I had to quit and I gave them my notice.
